Joe joined Acumentis in April 2021 as the Tasmanian Regional Director following the acquisition of Saunders & Pitt – a long-standing independent valuation firm dating back to 1905 – where he had been a partner since mid-2014.
In his role as Director – Commercial Valuations, Systems & Sustainability, Joe leads the development and enhancement of commercial valuation systems and the integration of sustainability and ESG reporting across commercial valuation workflows. He continues to advise a broad range of clients across commercial, industrial, residential (including development) and agricultural asset classes, and specialises in family law, rent rolls, SMSF, and estate planning.
Joe has a strong grounding in the property profession and has been heavily involved with the Australian Property Institute (API) since attaining AAPI CPV in 2010. He has served on the API Standards Committee at a national level since 2010, was Chair from 2017–2020, and held a two-year term on the National Board between 2016–2018. In late 2024, Joe was appointed as the API representative to the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) Advisory Forum Working Group (AFWG).
Based in the Acumentis Launceston office, Joe services the entire state and holds specialist knowledge of the King Island region.
